Braille for Beginners

The Braille system is a method that is widely used by blind people to read and write, and was the first digital form of writing.

Braille does a lot with just six sensational dots...... letters, numbers, punctuation, maths and music for example.

The entire Braille alphabet is based on this 6-dot cell and each 6-dot cell stands for one letter.

During this course you will learn to read and write the grade 1 form of Braille, and send Christmas/Easter cards and letters to yr 7 & 8 pupils at a school for the visually impaired. You will also play a number of easy fun games in Braille to further consolidate your new skill!
