German Exchange Visit 2006
In March/April 2006, the Modern Languages department (with St. Peter's School) took 44 Year 8, 9 and 10 pupils to Münster in Germany as part of the school's German Exchange link with Wilhelm Hittorf Gymnasium. The pupils stayed with host families in Münster and had the opportunity to experience lessons in a German school, a civic welcome from the Mayor of Münster in the famous peace room of the Town Hall, visit the cities of Cologne (including a chocolate museum and the cathedral) and Bremen and a trip to the Zoo in Münster. We also had time to do a treasure hunt in Münster, go bowling and, of course, plenty of shopping! The visit took place between Thursday 30 March and Friday 7 April 2006. Accompanying the trip were Miss S L Goundry (Trip Leader), Mr S Wareham (Modern Languages) and Mr D Jacques (Science).
