Open Schools Programme

Huntington School is registered on the Open Schools Programme which is run through the Training and Development Agency (TDA). The programme gives prospective applicants to teacher training programmes the opportunity to spend a day in school. It is intended that the day would provide a brief insight into the roles and responsibilities of teachers.

A typical Open Schools programme day at Huntington School would be as follows;
• A tour of the school
• A meeting with Ian Price (Assistant Headteacher: Training and Development / Director of Training School)
• Experience of a form group / assembly
• Observation of lessons in the subject specialism of the participant
