Will I Get In?
If you live in the catchment area you are still guaranteed a place at the school. The good news for other parents is that there will be places for pupils who live outside the catchment area from September 2005 onwards.
This is a map of the catchment area.

If you don't live in the catchment area it is still worth applying for a place. In most of the next 6 years we are expecting that there will be between 40 and 60 extra places. These will be allocated on the following criteria:
First to pupils who live within the catchment area normally served by the school
Second to pupils considered by the LEA to have exceptional social or medical needs which relate to the preferred school. (The LEA may consult with other medical/educational professionals for a further opinion as to whether a child should be allocated to an individual school due to a particular medical condition or social reason given by the parent(s).)
Third to pupils with siblings at the school in September 2004 ("siblings" are defined as brothers and/or sisters living in the same house, as their primary place of residence, including half- and step-brothers or sisters)
Fourth to pupils living in a catchment area that has been changed as a result of the recent consultation (this includes parts of the Fulford and Huntington School catchment areas)
Fifth to pupils with the nearest available safe walking route. (The LEA is constantly reviewing the nearest available safe walking routes, working closely with the Road Safety Team. The number of safe walking routes is likely to increase in the future.)
If a pupil is in the position of potentially being offered a place at more than one school, the single offer will be made for the school the parent/carer ranked the highest.
