ITT Impact on Student and Attributes:
As a Training School we aim to engage all our staff in action research. The vehicle for staff development over the next 2 years is the development of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). More detail on how these work can be found in the CPD section of the website. Each member of staff will evaluate the impact each PLC has had on their practice. This will be collated in a larger body of research by each PLC leader. Over two years we will be researching into 4 key areas of pedagogy and practice;
• Assessment Data for Raising Achievement (ADRA)
• Student Independent Learning Skills (SILS)
• Functional Skills
• ICT
The findings from the research and resources will be available on the website in due course.
Three of our ITT mentors are involved in action research on the impact of ITT students on pupil attitudes and progress this year. This is funded through the Training and Development Agency and Huntington School is working with a cluster of schools including Dixons Community College in Bradford.
The findings from the research will be available on the website in due course.
