Careers Education, Information and Guidance (CEIAG) is delivered by our Aspirations Department.

The curriculum is planned and delivered in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks that define what world class careers provision in education looks like. It also uses the suggested frameworks of the Career Development Institute (CDI) and Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) Association.

This is taught to students through their PSHE education (you can see where by accessing the curriculum overview for each year group here and find a more detailed overview here), but also through events such as the annual Aspirations Fair, UCAS exhibition and visits to a range of post 16 providers.

Students can contact the Aspirations department via email for remote advice, book a face-to-face meeting or drop in before school, after school or during break/ lunchtime. Parents can also make contact via email or telephone for information or guidance.

Our students said the following about their experience of being supported by the Aspirations Department:

We are currently undertaking the Quality in Careers Standard, which is the national quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) in secondary schools.
