We are seeking committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning at Huntington School. This role involves providing support to students aged 11-18 in the classroom and is an ideal role for anyone who wants to make a real difference to the next generation. We have a number of roles available and while we would want individuals to work full days for consistency, we would be happy to consider part time (less than 5 days per week) for the right candidate. 

If you are considering this position, then you must have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above (or equivalent to) as the role will involve supporting students with English/Literacy and Numeracy. 

This role requires a confident and resilient person who can deal with students effectively in situations that may require the use of diplomacy and tact; flexibility is also vital in order to meet the demands of a busy school. While full training will be provided, experience of the following would be an advantage: 

  • The ability to motivate and encourage students to develop and achieve in the school environment.  

  • To be able to respond to the individual needs of our students and promote the inclusion of all students in the school.  

  • Have excellent communication skills, ICT capability and be able to work on your own initiative and also work well in a team
